At Southlake Style’s upcoming women’s luncheon, “Flourishing in the Face of Failure,” attendees will get a double dose of inspiration. Danielle Vaughn, Southlake mom and life coach, and owner of FlyKids Yoga, will kick off the luncheon before keynote speaker Merrilee Kick takes to the stage.
Before Vaughn became a transformational life coach, certified yoga and meditation teacher, and yoga studio owner, she helped grow a profitable company from the ground up, morphing it into a multimillion-dollar business. While she didn't realize it at the time, the skills and tactics she gained in the corporate world eventually served as stepping stones to what has become Southlake's original yoga studio for children: FlyKids. (The FLY in FlyKids stands for ‘freely love yourself'.)
In addition to the yoga and meditation classes offered at FlyKids Yoga, Vaughn organizes cost-free yoga classes to families serviced by the Refugee Services of Texas because she feels called to uplift members of the community. Vaughn first began teaching yoga to her children at home, then to women recently released from prison at an inpatient clinic, and witnessed firsthand the positive affects yoga and mindfulness can have, regardless of age or background.
As a transformational life coach, Vaughn has hosted many workshops geared toward the empowerment of women, vision board workshops, and confidence-building workshops for teenaged girls, to name a few. The Mommy Reset, a workshop for mothers, will be held on September 28, as well as on November 4, 2017, at The Marq in Southlake.
“I'm delivering to women what I wish I had available to me at my lowest and darkest hour. And I want to give children the tools to connect with who they are, and from that place of brilliance grow strong physically and emotionally,” says Vaughn.
You can find Vaughn at DanielleVaughn.com, the FlyKids Yoga studio in Southlake, or enjoying life with her husband, four children and two dogs in Southlake.
