After five and a half years, the owners of Jake's Loft, inbrthe Shops of Southlake announced they are saying goodbye and closing theirbrdoors. Located next to Central Market,brJake's Loft is an independently ownedbrLife is good© Genuine Neighborhood Shoppe and offers the entire Life is good©brproduct line.
The Life is good© brand was born after five years of sellingbrt-shirts door-to-door in college dormitories up and down the East Coast bybrco-founders and brothers, Bert and John Jacobs. brThe big break came in 1994 when they created the first “Jake” design andbrit was simply a grinning head wearing a beret with the caption, “Life is good”.
Owned by Southlake couple Lynn and Dyane Arnn, they opened thebrdoors to Jake's Loft in August 2007; bringing an entrepreneurial spirit,brbusiness background, and a genuine love for the Life is Good© product linebrwhich spreads a message of positivity and optimism through fun, quirky imagesbron a wide range of products. The messagebris simple – Life is good.
Known for its upbeat and family friendly atmosphere, Jake'sbrLoft also supported several “Meet & Greet” events for organizationsbrdedicated to placing shelter animals in loving homes.
As they close their doors Jake's Loft will have specialbrpricing on inventory and also be selling its furniture, fixtures and equipmentbrat below its original price. Much of thebrinterior is decorated with handmade one-of-a-kind pieces of artwork madebrprimarily from restored barn wood.
