A new nonprofit has emerged championing literacy and programs through the Southlake Public Library.
Established in late 2022, the Library Foundation of Southlake is a nonprofit that is committed to the success of the Southlake Public Library through advocacy, fundraising and community engagement. It recently held its first fundraiser to donate a 3D printer and early learning system to the library. The fundraiser ended up being a success, with the foundation donating not one, but two AWE learning stations to the library, which can be accessed now in the children’s area.
“The library of today is so much more than books,” president Lori Burr says via media release. “I know first-hand the value of these interactive tools from taking my four grandchildren to the library. I know these additional educational resources will be a big hit with students and adults of all ages.”
