Matt Bryant has won the 2018 CISD Trustee election for Place 4, according to unofficial Tarrant County voting results with almost 50 percent of the votes.
Bryant (674 votes) ran against Eric Lannen and Dudley Jordan who garnered 521 and 165, respectively. Danny Gilpin (Place 5) and Dave Almand (Place 7) ran unopposed and will return to their seat on the school board.
In 2005, Matt Bryant and his family moved to Southlake. All three Bryant kids have been enrolled in Carroll ISD schools ever since and are now in seventh, eighth and 11th grades. He ran with a platform that aims to pursue a culture of excellence and emphasize safety on campuses in and extracurriculars. He graduated from Texas A&M University and has a background in process engineering with Texas Instruments. He also served as the vice president of sales and strategic account manager for Nova Measuring Instruments. He is currently a real estate investor.
