Bride-to-be, Lindsay, andbrher fiancé, Kyle, are getting the wedding of their dreams all for free – they'rebrthe lucky winners of the “Married at the Marq” giveaway. Phase 1 of The Marq brSouthlake’s premier wedding and event venue, is set to open its doors thisbrfall. Here’s our Q&A with Lindsay.
SouthlakebrStyle: First of all, brcongratulations! How does it feel to win The Marq’s wedding giveaway?
Lindsay: Honestly, brwe can’t put it into words. It took a while to sink in, but just a mixture ofbrshock, excitement, anticipation and joy. I feel so lucky and am excited tobrspend our big day in Southlake, where I grew up. It means a lot to me.
SS: Tell us about yourself and your fiancé, Kyle. Ibrunderstand you’re a Carroll grad?
Lindsay:brYes, I am a Carroll grad. Go Dragons! I’m also a Texas Tech grad and have livedbrin California for years until Kyle and I relocated to Ohio for his job. I ownbrand operate an online women’s boutique, The Anchored Rose, and hope to bringbrsome of that Texas style up north with me! As for Kyle and I, we met throughbrmutual friends a few years ago in Los Angeles and have been together for twobryears. It’s been such a great journey so far and we’re excited to see what’sbrnext!
SS: How did Kyle propose?
Lindsay: Onbrthe beach in Hermosa Beach, California, when the sun was setting. It wasbrperfect. We were with our friends and family, and Hermosa means a lot to us sincebrthat’s where we met. He also had pictures taken of the whole thing, so I guessbrhe gets some bonus points for that.
SS: Have you set a date for the wedding?
Lindsay: Atbrthis point, no. We’re thinking Spring 2016.
SS: What are you most excited about as you plan yourbrbig day?
Lindsay: Justbrbeing in the moment with all our friends and family. I’m sure the day will flybrby, but I know we’ll make memories to last a lifetime.
SS: Anything else you’d like to say?
Lindsay: Ibrnever win anything! This is so amazing, we truly feel blessed!
