ParkbrPlace Dealerships is building a Jaguar Land Rover dealership in Grapevine.brSlated to open in spring 2017, the facility will sit on eight acres on thebrsouth side of Highway 114 near Texan Trail. Park Place will move its Jaguarbrdealership from Plano to Grapevine and will add the Land Rover brand to itsbrportfolio.
“We currently have twobrdealerships, as well as a body shop in Grapevine,” said Ken Schnitzer, chairmanbrof Park Place Dealerships, in a press release. “Building a Jaguar Land Roverbrdealership in Northeast Tarrant County is a natural extension for our companybras this market continues to grow. Jaguar has just introduced the new XE andbrF-PACE, the first SUV in the brand's history. Land Rover is an iconic brandbrthat introduced the first luxury SUV in the world and has a tremendousbrfollowing.”
During the constructionbrphase that will begin immediately, the dealership is expected to create 1,000brjobs. Upon opening, Park Place will add new sales and service positions to thebrdealership. Currently, there are 48 employees at Jaguar Plano.
Park Place Jaguar LandbrRover will feature a two-story, LEED-certified facility. The shop willbrinclude 30 service bays and 12 make ready bays. The showroom can accommodate upbrto 12 new Jaguar and Land Rover vehicles. A nine-car service drive andbr2,800-square-foot carwash will round out the areas dedicated to serving abrclient's needs.
