Hines, the international real estate firm, announced today it has completed Phase One of Southlake's highly anticipated Carillon development, a 285- acre mixed-use community located at the northeast corner of State Highway 114 and White's Chapel Road, just northwest of Southlake Town Center and minutes from the Dallas Fort Worth International Airport. The announcement comes on the heels of a Residential Strategies report that says the DFW housing market is stabilizing. The company has delivered 94 home sites, with several initial home sites already purchased or committed by Atwood Custom Homes, Cambridge Luxury Patio Homes, Tresor Custom Homes and Atrium Fine Homes. Construction on model homes is expected to begin this month.
Situated in Southlake, Texas, Carillon is located about 30 minutes from downtown Dallas and within a 15-mile drive of large employers such as American Airlines, Travelocity, Sabre and Verizon. The project is located within the Carroll Independent School District, which is consistently ranked among the top-rated school districts in Texas. The school district is also home to the High School State Football Champion Carroll Dragons.
“Carillon will provide the ultimate combination of upscale living, unmatched amenities and an urban community of retail, dining and entertainment,” said Jeff Kennemer, senior project manager at Hines. “Sixty-eight acres of parks and green space connected through a system of walking trails will anchor the community and create a unique outdoor landscape.”
Carillon's Village District features single-family garden homes with enclosed-front courtyards. The Chateaux District features estate-style homes located near community lakes and ponds. Custom homes will range in price from the upper $500s to $1+ million.
Carillon provides the sophistication, style and convenience of a well-planned mixed- use development while maintaining the beautiful open spaces, charm and warmth offered in a small community. The community will feature a French-inspired theme with European-styled architecture, formal gardens, landscaped boulevards and public art. High-end amenities such as a spa-like swim center, state-of-the-art playground, two lakes and a community sport court will also be available to homeowners.
Construction has also started on elements of the Plaza District and Corporate District, the core of the community's mixed-use retail and office areas and includes the new $21 million Children's Medical Center which opened in 2011.
