In a remote working world people have more choice than ever as to where they can live and work, more and more people are showing interest in rural and suburban life. To help sort out where people should consider putting down roots, the personal finance website WalletHub released its report on 2022’s Best Small Cities in America.
Data proves that small city life can provide more affordable housing, shorter commutes and quality schools. In the survey, more than 1,300 U.S. cities with populations between 25,000 and 100,000 were ranked on over 40 other key indicators of livability.
With high scores in the areas of economic health, quality of life, safety and education, Southlake ranked in the 97th percentile on the list and as the No. 2 top small city in the state behind Cedar Park (98th). Other North Texas cities faring well were Allen (96th), Flower Mound (93rd), Keller (91st) and Colleyville (86th).
