Southlake's own Terra Manna purchased 97 acres of land in Colleyville to develop a $160 million residential development.
The new development is known as Creekside at Colleyville, which is located at the southeast corner of Glade Road and Heritage Avenue.
Terra Manna has been in talks with the landowners for more than two year to put the development in order, explains Terra Manna principal Bobby Harrell.
The site is located on the old Harrington family property and will be aded to an adjoining piece of land, totaling 269 lots. Homes will begin in the $500,000 range.
“We have been working with the heirs for more than two years to put this site together,” Bobby Harrell, Terra Mann’s principal, said in a statement. “We anticipate a high demand for luxury homes in this area with a variety of lot sizes and high-end, active-lifestyle amenities.”
The feature builders of the single-family community will include Standard Pacific Homes and MainVue Homes. The home developers are expected to complete the development by mid - to late 2014.
Creekside at Colleyville will feature 30 acres of parks, trials and several new lakes to complement an existing lake on the north end of the project, the company members states.
