
Shannon Hamons recently joined the City of Southlake as director of Economic Development and Tourism.
Hamons has extensive public sector experience and has served as economic director for the Cities of Grove City, Upper Arlington and Westerville, OH.
During his tenure, he managed economic development programs that helped create more than 7,000 new jobs, retained 2,500 more and saw more than $300 million dollars invested into the communities.
Hamons comes to Southlake from Columbus, OH where he was the Vice President of Pizzuti Companies, a real estate developer.
He was responsible for managing Pizzuti Solution's team's consulting and development efforts, including the planning and management of the Kent State University Hotel and Conference Center, the Columbus Metropolitan Library Northside Mixed-Use Facility and the Columbus Crew MLS Soccer Training Facility.
"Shannon has a great blend of experience," explains City of Southlake assistant city manager Alison Ortowski. "His understanding of the private and public sectors and how they work together to create and sustain highly livable communities will serve Southlake well."
