Southlake is getting seasonal this winter.
Earlier this week, the city of Southlake has released its lineup of events for its Home For The Holidays season this December. The month-long celebration kicks off on Saturday, Nov. 20 with the classic Christmas tree lighting ceremony, where the city will light up the gigantic Christmas tree in the center of town square. The ceremony runs between 4:30-8:30 p.m. and includes fun activities like Christmas caroling, ice sculpting and snow hills that children can slide down on.
Santa’s Village will also officially open on Nov. 21, where kids can hop onto Santa’s sleigh and explore the elves’ homes inside Rustin Pavilion in town square. Southlake Police and Fire will also launch its toy and food drives on Nov. 22 and will collect donations until Christmas Eve. Champions Club will also be hosting its holiday break camp mania from Nov. 22-24.
Speaking of Champions Club, its camp mania will also run Dec. 20-30. Meanwhile, Mrs. Claus willbe making a special appearance at the Southlake Public Library on Dec. 20 as well, reading to children during a special storytime ahead of Dec. 25.
Also in December, Santa will be picking up his appearances in Southlake, whether it’s breakfast at the Marq on Dec. 4 or photos at Legends Hall from Dec. 10-11. And if your kids miss him, they’ll still be able to write him a letter at Santa’s Little Workshop at Champions Club.
