Southlake is working on bringing a new public library to the city.
Last December, councilmembers Kathy Talley and Ronell Smith were appointed to lead a task force designed to research and develop a new public library for the city. The task force will recommend potential site locations, facility amenities and financial considerations, according to MySouthlakeNews.com.
“We are so excited about the possibilities for the Southlake library,” Kathy says via MySouthlakeNews.com. “We’ve got some ideas about its location, programming and amenities, but we need resident feedback. That’s where the town hall meetings will come in.”
The task force will present its recommendations to residents during two town hall meetings on Wednesday, May 11 and Monday, May 16, according to MySouthlakeNews.com. You can learn more about the upcoming library and the task force at CityOfSouthake.com/LibraryTaskForce.
