Zaniac, a national STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) franchise will open its first Texas campus in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex in early 2016. The campus, to be operated by entrepreneur and franchise owner Anne Sinnott, will make its home at 445 W. Southlake Blvd. Pre-registration opportunities open up this month.
The Salt Lake City company uses programs such as Zaniac Robotics: LEGO®, Game-Based Learning: Minecraft™, 3D Printing and Computer Programming, in an effort to make science- and math-based learning fun for children. Sinnott has two Master's degrees; one in neuroscience and another in business administration.
“I have three kids of my own, so I am passionate about getting our young generation excited about STEM early on,” she said in a recent press release. “Zaniac is the perfect complement to our great education system here in Southlake. It offers a fun and engaging environment to learn and explore STEM outside of a classroom, and gives children the opportunity to discover what excites them for their future.”
Zaniac plans to open additional campuses throughout Texas and is seeking qualified franchise partners in Houston and Austin who have an enthusiasm for STEM education. Other locations include Salt Lake City, Miami, New York City, Connecticut and Massachusetts. The fast-growing franchise has a campus set to open in Santa Monica before the end of the year and plans to reach 50 campuses by 2017.
