TEDx will be coming to Southlake on April 27, organized by Southlake Youth. This event, officially known as TEDxYouth@Southlake will happen at the Grace Community Church and will last approximately three hours.
TEDx are a series of locally organized events to bring a TED-like experience to a community and features speakers and videos. With that said, Southlake’s TEDx event will feature a variety of speakers and two TED Youth videos.
The confirmed speakers, subject to change before the event, are Annie Rose Cole, a teen YouTuber and Influencer from Houston with over 700k subscribers; Eduardo Rojas, a concert pianist and the founder of the Rojas School of Music; Monica Kerik, a life coach and speaker from Atlanta; Abigail Perez, a 10-year-old from Southlake and the author and illustrator of “How to be a Super Kid;” Claudia Beeny, the founder of House of Shine; and John Terrel, the former mayor of Southlake.
