Have a passion project that you think can generate profits? Then head over to “Hobby to Side Hustle” this Saturday. From 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., the city will be working with Fort Worth’s SCORE chapter’s small business mentors to teach people how to turn their hobby into a small business.
Locals ages 16 and up can register for this program to see how they can build out what they love and reap the benefits of entrepreneurship, while still maintaining the security that comes with a day job. This workshop, created by Lisa Harrington, hopes to show participants how they can set out on this seemingly massive feat.
“If you’ve been thinking about turning your hobby into a money making side hustle, there are some questions you should ask yourself first, and some resources you should review to make a good decision,” Lisa Harrington writes about the event. “Come learn a few basic steps to help you improve your odds if you decide to take the leap!”
The program will be hosted in Southlake Town Hall and is free to the public. Those interested, however, must pre-register to reserve their spot.
