The football season may be over but the accolades are still pouring in. Dragon Pride was evident throughout the Texas Sports Writers Association's 5A All-State team. Making the first team All-State roster were Will Davis (pictured), JJ Prince, Kenny Hill and Sabian Holmes.
Standout senior linebacker Will Davis (6-1, 210lbs) was also named the Class 5A Defensive Player of the Year after leading an excellent Dragon defense with176 tackles and 7.5 sacks on the season.
Senior offensive lineman JJ Prince (6-6, 275lbs) stood tall on the front lines and junior quarterback Kenny Hill impressed the TXSW on the ground and in the air for a combined 49 touchdowns.
Also of note, senior wide receiver Sabian Holmes made the list not only as a first team receiver where he caught 85 passes for 1,338 yards but also as an honorable mention defensive back who made a game saving play late in the fourth quarter of the championship game.
Senior receiver Peyton Williams, 91 receptions for 1,164 yards was also an honorable mention All-State selection
