With social distancing one of the best ways to prevent the spread of the coronavirus, many events scheduled for the next couple of months have been canceled or postponed.
Do you know of another event that we can include? Email us at editor@southlakestyle.com.
Art in the Square
Art in the Square, which was scheduled for the last weekend in April, will not be happening when originally scheduled.
“We know that we cannot hold our festival this April but have been trying to decide the best way to move forward for all concerned,” the Southlake Women’s Club says, in a statement on the Art in the Square website. “We are still in discussion as to whether we can postpone our festival to another date later in 2020 or if it is best to wait and hold our festival again in 2021.”
The Southlake Women’s Club says there are many factors to consider and everyone will be notified once they make a final decision.
Southlake Style Events
Due to the coronavirus, we at Southlake Style have postponed our events until further notice. This includes our April issue release party and FÜDTRUKY, which was scheduled for May 8. Stay tuned for news about FÜDTRUKY, which we are working to make happen in the fall.
Celebrate Southlake
If you were planning on going to Celebrate Southlake this year, unfortunately those plans have been put on hold. Southlake has postponed Celebrate Southlake, planned to happen on March 20, and is working on rescheduling it for later this year if possible.
CEF Culinary Celebration
While the Carroll Education Foundation has canceled the in-person CEF Culinary Celebration, they will be hosting an online auction and jewelry raffle that will open on April 3, sending out the link at that time. CEF has raised 90 percent of its fundraising goal of $550,000 and the online auction and jewelry raffle is an effort to reach that goal.
Charles Schwab Westlake Campus Grand Opening
Previously planned for March 18, the grand opening event for the Westlake Charles Schwab campus has been postponed. An updated invitation will be sent out after a new date is selected.
NCL Fashion Show
NCL's Southlake chapter canceled its annual fashion show, previously scheduled on March 22. In lieu of the event, the local organization will host an online auction to support its benefactors.
Grapevine's Main Street Fest
Grapevine's annual Main Street Fest, originally scheduled for May 15-17, will now take place on June 26-28 this year. The Fest, which celebrates craft brew and happens in Historic Downtown Grapevine, rescheduled due to concerns surrounding the coronavirus.
