Alison Ortowski will replace Shana Yelverton as city manager.
In a unanimous decision made by the Southlake city council on Oct. 17, Alison was chosen as the lone finalist for the position after Shana announced that she will be stepping away at the beginning of January. Serving as assistant city manager since 2013, Alison has gained experience with every aspect of municipal operations. She has provided corporate leadership to all city departments, including strategic management, public safety, emergency management, economic development, capital asset management, communication, marketing and financial management.
“Alison is exceedingly qualified to take on this role,” Shana says via MySouthlakeNews.com. “She has the extensive experience, significant skill and wisdom needed to perform at a very high level. She has long been an effective corporate leader and will be an outstanding city manager.”
