The shop began in thebr1900s as a haberdashery, which is essentially a men's outfitter. In 1948, GusbrCrassons, Jr. transformed Big State into a drug store. Three years later, ClaybrBurney was hired as head pharmacist and store manager. He and his wife Jeanbrbecame part owners of Big State Drug. Fast forward four decades, and thebrBurneys sold the business to Brian and Stacy Smith in 1992.
