Interested in the world of publishing or dream of working at a magazine? Southlake Style offers hands-on experience to college students through our immersive internship program.
This isn’t a “grab coffee and take notes” kind of a gig. Our interns are essential members of our editorial team and learn how to consistently turn out content for readers.
The Southlake Style internship program is open for three semester periods: spring, summer and fall. In that time frame, accepted candidates will learn the process behind pitching, creating, writing, editing and formatting stories. Interns who use the program to its full potential will walk away from their time with Southlake Style not only more aware of the process behind creating content for publication but also with a few clips for his or her resume.
Our ideal candidate is at least a sophomore in college pursuing a degree in journalism, English, writing, public relations or communication. He or she should be able to commit at least 10 hours a week working in our office located in Southlake.
