The DallasbrArboretum celebrates 31 years of its Dallas Blooms festival
As the frigid temps of winter start to disappear andbrwe say goodbye to our cold weather wardrobes, spring begins to peek through inbrthe way of warmer days, sunny skies and pretty blooms. And this year, the arboretum is celebrating three decadesbrof Dallas Blooms, the Southwest's biggest floral festival that continues tobrdraw countless local and out-of-town visitors. USAbrToday named Dallas Blooms one of the top 10 things that make you say “ahh,”breffectively declaring the event as one of the must-see exhibits of the season.
Through April 6, take in thebrexplosion of beauty featuring more than 500,000 bulbs that bloom duringbrspringtime, including tulips, daffodils, Dutch Iris and hyacinths, pansies,brviolas, poppies and many more. The famous peacock topiaries, located in thebrJonsson Color Garden, will also once again showcase their bright petal tails. DallasbrBlooms' finale unveils the arboretum's collection of 3,000 azaleas, in bloombruntil the end of April.
The festival's 2015 theme, Deep in the Hearts of Texans, is again brought to life in many Dallas Blooms Exhibits. Themed topiaries, entertainment, food and other activities will celebrate the iconography of our state that is recognizable world-wide..
