David Miller has been named Southlake’s newest director of community services.
Serving the Southlake community services department since January 2021, David has contributed to numerous city improvement initiatives and earned the Deputy Director of the Year in 2022. Assuming the position previously held by Chris Tribble, David brings over 15 years of nonprofit and municipal executive leadership to the department. From developing an award-winning capital asset plan to easing collaboration across all city departments, David has accomplished much during his short term with Southlake thus far.
“He’s overseen the operations of The Marq Southlake, recreation programming, aquatics, marketing, community relations, the Bob Jones Park and Nature Preserve, the Southlake Tennis Center and is now preparing the team to open the new pickleball complex,” assistant city manager Alison Ortowski says via MySouthlakeNews.com. “He has quietly and effectively demonstrated his significant leadership abilities in a variety of ways over the past two-plus years.”
As director, David will be responsible for all aspects of the community services department, including park construction and maintenance.
