Dragons did a lot of good this month helping to wipe out kids’ cancer.
Through the nonprofit organization Dragons Give Back, students from both the Carroll High and Senior High campuses took on “outrageous charity” dares, powder fights and other extreme activities. Earlier this month, Dragons Give Back teamed up with Allen High School to raise funds for Wipe Out Kids’ Cancer by partnering up with local restaurants, shaving heads and even taping a student to the wall.
In total, Dragons Give Back had fun and raised over $5,000 towards the cancer foundation. The group was even featured on WFAA’s “Good Morning Texas.”
"We prioritize putting the 'fun' in fundraising in order to create a culture of giving back within our school and community,” executive director Zach Lacy says. “We believe that charity shouldn’t be a chore.”
