A DOLL'S HOUSE
OCTOBER 12-NOVEMBER 4
WATERTOWER THEATRE | Dolls have the perfect lives with styled hair, fashionable clothes and pristine houses. But real life is not quite as flawless. In “A Doll's House,” Nora and Torvald Helmer appear to have fairytale-like lives; however, Nora has a secret to hide: For years, she's been paying off a secret debt obtained in a shady way, which saved her husband's life. Now that he is better, Nora is being confronted by blackmail and pushed to reveal the truth. In the process, the couple realizes their lives may not be their own. This thrilling story was written in 1879 by Henrik Ibsen, but the message about trying to make our lives fit into perfect dollhouses is just as powerful today.
