This year's Carroll Education Foundation (CEF) CulinarybrCelebration aims to enhance education throughout thebrCarroll ISD through delicious food from more than twenty-brfive restaurants and a ‘60s theme of “Peace, Love andbrDragons.”
Event Co-chair Sarah Mason plans to inject energybrof a bygone era into the long-standing event to createbra fun and altruistic blast from the past. She believes ‘thebrmore the merrier' for benefits such as this when she says,br“I encourage everyone to bring out their hip huggersbrand beads and join us to celebrate Peace, Love, and ourbrbeloved Dragons!”br
“We want everyone to join in the fun,” ads Co-chairbrMimi Tran, “we have not only [American Idol standoutbrand Dallas resident] Celena Rae, but the powerhouse ofbrlocal charity events, Scott Murray as the emcees for thebrevening.”br
In addition to local celebrities plans for the event heldbrat the Southlake Hilton include a deejay spinning timelybrdance music and plenty of live entertainment, auctionsbrand foodie favorites from a bevy of notable local eateries.brLong time CEF supporters, yet first time samplers,brSouthlake's own Feedstore BBQ joins an impressive listbrof fine restaurants inlcuding; Truluck's Seafood, Steak andbrCrab House, Winewood Grill, Copeland's of New Orleans,brMi Dia from Scratch, Brio Tuscan Grille and Del Frisco'sbrGrille who all will be serving up their best bites for thebrbenefit of educating youth.br
Like many local restaurateurs, Executive Chef of DelbrFrisco's Grille Aaron Henschen will be on hand serving hisbrsignature Ahi Tuna Tacos and Prime Grille CheeseburgerbrSliders. He sums up how many of the sponsoring restaurantsbrfeel about the event, “Del Frisco's puts down roots inbrevery location, becoming an active and enthusiastic partbrof the community and an eager supporter of both localbrcharities and national organizations. We are very pleasedbrto be involved with the Carroll Education Foundation herebrin Southlake, Texas, where our home office is based.”

“The ‘60s was a creative, think outside the box, timebrperiod,” explains Mason. “In serving today's public schoolbrdistricts we also need to be creative in how we raise andbrspend money in times like these.”
