Support The North Texas Food Bank

Last year during the height of the pandemic, shutdowns and layoffs created food insecurity for many North Texas neighbors. So agents and employees of Ebby Halliday Realtors rallied their Ebby Halliday Companies‘ network to collect $75,000 for two area organizations providing hunger relief — the North Texas Food Bank and Tarrant Area Food Bank.
Supplemented by a matching gift offer from the Ebby Halliday Foundation, they were able to donate more than $110,000 during the holidays, which roughly translates to 330,000 meals.
“It was such a successful effort last year that we would like to replicate it,” brokerage vice president Carolyn Rosson says. “There is still great need in our community.”
Brokerage vice president Malinda Howell says the company also held a backpack drive in September, collecting more than 600 supply-filled backpacks for Ebby Halliday elementary students. Ebby Halliday Acers has left a mark not only as a pioneer in Dallas’ residential real estate industry, but as philanthropists who believe in giving back to the communities it serves.
This commitment is still very much a part of the fabric of the Berkshire Hathaway affiliate, which also includes core services companies Prosperity Home Mortgage, Texas Premier Title, HSTX Title and Home Team Insurance.
With the ongoing pandemic and its devastating effects, food insecurity remains a major issue in the region at large. If you can donate to the North Texas Food Bank, visit JustGiving.com.
