How do you make country music's biggest night of the year even bigger? Bring it to Texas, of course. And not just anywhere in Texas, but they're bringing it to our backyard. Celebrating its 50th year, the Academy of Country Music is leaving its usual Las Vegas venue behind and heading south for a star-studded anniversary weekend in North Texas. Co-hosts Blake Shelton and Luke Bryan team up once again to honor the industry's best—from legendary stars of the past to upand-comers.
Before the awards show on April 19, head out to Globe Life Park April 17 and 18 for the ACM Party for a Cause Festival: 50 Years of Music & Memories. The outdoor event will be packed with celebrity appearances and performances from Alabama, Kenny Chesney, Dierks Bentley, Miranda Lambert, Florida Georgia Line and many more on multiple stages inside and outside the ballpark. Proceeds raised from the event will benefit ACM Lifting Lives, the charitable arm of the Academy. Additionally, the event's first-ever fundraising gala, “One Night, Two Cities, All Music” will take place simultaneously at Omni Dallas Hotel and Fort Worth Zoo, providing another opportunity to give back while enjoying the music of some of country music's finest performers.
That's only the beginning. The ACM Awards officially kicks off at 7 p.m. on Sunday, April 19 with guaranteed laughs, powerhouse performances, memorable fashion moments and more. Whether you're a lifelong Garth Brooks fan or have just recently discovered your love for country music through someone like newcomer Sam Hunt, you won't want to miss the glitz, glamour and guitar riffs of the 50th Academy of Country Music Awards.
