1. Firestone & Robertson Whiskey, Fort Worth, Texas
In a reclaimed, Prohibition-era warehouse south of downtown Fort Worth sits Firestone & Robertson Distilling Co. It’s the only artisanal bourbon whiskey distillery in North Texas.
2. Dripping Springs Vodka, Dripping Springs, Texas
Mineral-rich, artesian spring water gives Dripping Springs Vodka its refreshing signature fl vor. It’s handcrafted in small, 50-gallon batches using handmade copper pot stills.
3. Balcones Texas Single Malt Whisky, Waco, Texas
An old welding shop under Waco’s 17th Street Bridge is home to Balcones. Its creators have had a hand in everything – from hammering and welding the stills to handwriting the batch number on each bottle.
4. Tito’s Handmade Vodka, Austin, Texas
Tito Beveridge, founder of Tito’s Handmade Vodka, wanted to create “a vodka so smooth that women would drink it straight.” Well, he did it – and more. Tito’s has garnered worldwide acclaim.
5. Garrison Brothers Texas Bourbon Whiskey, Hye, Texas
Each and every bottle of bourbon whiskey are made by hand at Garrison Brothers, and it’s the fir t bourbon whiskey in the world to be cooked, fermented, distilled, barreled and bottled outside of Tennessee or Kentucky.
6. Ranger Creek Handcrafted Texas Whiskey, San Antonio, Texas
Some of the state’s best beer and whiskey is made from scratch at Ranger Creek’s “brewstillery.” It’s the only one like it in Texas, and it’s one of only a handful in the United States.
7. Deep Eddy Vodka, Austin, Texas
Deep Eddy Vodka gets its name from Austin’s historic Deep Eddy Pool, Texas’ oldest spring-fed swimming pool. It’s distilled 10 times in a state-of-the-art column still using only water, corn and natural flavors.
8. Paula’s Texas Orange, Austin, Texas
Paula’s Texas Orange (PTO), a brightly hued, orange-fl vored liqueur, begins with the zest of fresh oranges that have been steeped in Everclear. PTO is then fil ered through charcoal in small batches.
9. Railean White Rum, San Leon, Texas
Railean Distillers is the fir t and only distillery in the Houston/ Galveston area. Founder Kelly Railean was inspired to venture into the world of distilling spirits and constructed the distillery in 2005.
10. Rebecca Creek Whiskey, San Antonio, Texas
You can credit one of the largest copper pot stills ever built for the smooth taste of Rebecca Creek Whiskey. Well, this, and the proprietary 28-degree frost filt ation system.
