February's Letter from the Editor
We all know that diamonds are supposed to be a girl's best friend. However, brfor many ladies in the area, the question of what to get the man in their lifebrthis Valentine's Day is still up in the air.
Of course, I can't speak for all men, but if you know me like my wife and kidsbrdo, then you know that chocolate and I are the very best of friends. Dark chocolate, milk chocolate, chocolate coveredbrand even chocolate kisses—no matter the form, chocolate has a special place inbrmy heart (and unfortunately around mybrwaist).
So, when Southlake Styledecided to examine the best chocolate desserts in the area—you can guess whobrwas first in line with a fork in hand. This month’s feature Sweets for the Sweet–was definitely abrlabor of love. During my “research,” Ibrbecame schooled in soufflé, informed on icing and ultimately gained somebrpanache in ganache.
In the end, I gained a few pounds and learned a little more about myselfbrin the process. For instance, I can be quite generous when the moment is right, brlike when I order the enormous Chocolate Bag at Truluck's. I can show restraint by ordering the petite Dolchinobrat Brio Tuscan Grille, and I can be playful with Chocolate Jenga at the new FnGbrEats in Keller.
Yes, my affection for confection knows no bounds. Fortunately, thisbrassignment couldn't have come at a better time. For this month there is evenbrmore of me to love.
Yours in Southlake Style...
