We’ve stopped into Modmarket for breakfast, lunch andbrdinner. (Sometimes on the same day.) You can neverbrhave too much of a good thing. At Modmarket, youbrget nutritious, farm-to-table foods that are preparedbrwith whole, simple ingredients – no unpronounceablebradditives or hidden fillers.br
If you’re curious about how your food is prepared, justbrgo to Modmarket.com and click on any ingredient to seebrsourcing information and recipe details. And if you wantbrto know calorie count or grams of protein for each menubritem, Modmarket prints these and other nutrition statsbrdirectly on your receipt.br
The transparency is refreshing, but you can’t feast onbrfacts; you have to try the food. Let’s start with breakfast.brModmarket does the most important meal of the daybrright, offering up protein-packed breakfast plates, heartybregg sandwiches and 100-percent whole-grain waffles.br
The Market Scramble is a dish that makes us happy inbrthe morning. It’s made with cage-free eggs, broccoli andbrcaramelized onion with aged white cheddar melted onbrtop. Breakfast potatoes and multigrain toast add somebrcrunch to the meal.br
The waffles are also worthy of waking up early.brThey’re perfectly fluffy and could easily stand alone, butbrthey’re also excellent dressed up with caramelized applebrand pear compote, which is how we like to order them.br
Moving on to lunch and dinner, Modmarket servesbran impressive array of salads. You have your choice ofbrentrée size or half size (we always opt for the entréebrportion), and you can order straight off the menu orbrcustomize by adding extras such as flank steak, organicbrtofu or herb-roasted chicken.br
One of our favorites is the Superfood – a hearty blendbrof spinach and kale topped with quinoa, feta, carrots, bralmonds, red grapes and champagne vinaigrette. For anbrextra boost of protein, we like to add the tofu, which hasbra pleasant crispiness to the edges.br
When you just want to sink your teeth into something,brModmarket offers a range of substantial sandwichesbrand pizza. The Basil Chicken sandwich is particularlybrsatisfying. Provolone, arugula, red onions, tomatoes andbrjuicy roasted chicken breast are tucked inside a chewybrciabatta bun. Modmarket serves its sandwiches with abrsingle pickle spear, though you can add a bag of PopbrChips or a side salad for a small upcharge.br
There’s enough on Modmarket’s menu to please everybrtaste bud and meet nearly every dietary requirement.brBut because this local fare is made with farm-freshbrfoods, the menu changes seasonally. If there’s a menubritem you love, get it before it’s gone. Or, just come in andbrtry a new fresh favorite for fall. We’re sure you won’t bebrdisappointed.
