Being a physician is about more than making diagnoses and writing prescriptions; it’s about being there for others and making a difference. That’s why Rawn Bosley opened Prism Dermatology in 2019 — to help change people’s lives.
A board-certified dermatologist and medical director, Rawn was in medical school for three years before he was introduced to dermatology. Rawn was intrigued that one specialty would allow him to be a surgeon, pathologist and pediatrician, offering him a great deal of variety.
For several years, Rawn worked with multiple physicians around the country. But he then saw an opportunity to open his own practice in Southlake.
“I was granted the opportunity to help open an innovative dermatology practice in a rapidly growing city,” Rawn says. “As a dermatologist with training in aspects of pediatric, surgical and cosmetic dermatology, the Southlake community fit perfectly with my professional aspirations.”
At Prism, Rawn makes it a point to conduct his own full-body skin examinations, carry out nonsurgical skin treatments and perform all injectable procedures himself. When he isn’t tending to a patient, Rawn is either producing his health podcast, “The Skin Scoop” or making media appearances on Fox and WFAA’s “Good Morning Texas.”
“A physician’s role in the community is to serve,” Rawn says. "The era that we live in allows physicians to impact others outside of our immediate communities. Whether via social media or traditional avenues such as medical research, we have a responsibility to inform and educate others to improve their health and well-being.”
Rawn says improving lives motivates him to elevate his practice every day, and he's grateful to have been accepted by the Southlake family.
"We not only provide medical services but also help foster relationships,” Rawn says. “The families of the city have embraced us. The business community has been very supportive. The medical community has also been invaluable in helping me provide high-quality care for my patients. We are proud of how we have been received by the Southlake community.”
