If you have a penchant for pizza (and don't we all?), you'llbrwant to try SPIN! Neapolitan Pizza. It turns spheres ofbrdough into mouth-watering masterpieces. Each crispy,brthin-crust pizza is packed with flavorful toppings thatbrare anything but ordinary. This isn't something you'dbrpeel out of a cardboard box; this is the good stuff. This isbrgourmet pizza at its best.br
While you can certainly keep your pie selectionbrsimple, the toppings at SPIN! are too interesting to passbrup. You can get everything from Verdure Arrosti (roastedbrveggies) to fig onion marmalade and crushed glazedbrpecans.br
No matter which toppings you choose, you can countbron them being perfectly seasoned. “We use fresh herbs, brwhich makes a huge difference,” says Chef Michael Smith.br“We strive to season every single ingredient, and whenbrit comes together in a pie, it's the perfect blend. We callbrit ‘umami.' It's a fifth-taste thing the Japanese invented.brUmami is something that's inherently good.”br
The 12-inch pies are as large as a dinner plate, so bringbryour appetite. If you want to size down your pizza, gobrfor the Mini Mia option. You get a six-inch pie with a sidebrsalad or cup of soup.br
That's what we enjoyed when we stopped in for lunch.brEveryone in our group sampled different salads andbrpizzas, and when it came to the pies, everyone agreedbrthat the crust was a perfect balance of crispy and chewy.br
You can upgrade your crust to gluten-free or whole-brwheat, and you have two choices when it comes tobrsauces: a zesty red sauce and a white sauce, which isbractually a roasted garlic olive oil glaze.br
As for the salads, the Sonoma was a standout. It'sbrmade with spinach, grapes, raisins and goat cheese.brThin slices of apple were artfully arranged on top, alongbrwith a dollop of chopped, glazed pecans and a drizzle ofbrBlood Orange vinaigrette.br
When it comes to beverages, there are many pizza-brperfect pairings. Wines by the glass are rotated daily, orbrpick from a variety of craft beers or three sangria flavors:brred, white or Blood Orange.br
Because every meal should conclude with a littlebrdolce, we also treated ourselves to hand-scooped cupsbrof premium gelato (there were several crave-worthybrflavors on hand). The pistachio gelato was dense andbrcreamy with hunks of cold, chewy pistachios interspersedbrthroughout.br
Here at this fast-casual restaurant, you walk in, orderbryour pizza, pay and grab a spot to enjoy your meal. Thebrspace is bright and lively, perfect for a weekday lunch orbra weekend meal with your family. There's something forbreverybody, though you can never go wrong with SPIN!'sbrspecialty: handmade, artisan pizza.
