Dallas Love Project
For years after the assassination of President Kennedy,brDallas endured the reputation of being the City of Hate. Today, that name isbrbut a terrible memory and to ensure it stays that way, tens of thousands ofbrartists have created works to celebrate love to be installed in locationsbrthroughout Dallas. Hotel TexasbrExhibition
If you didn't get a chance to catch the Hotel Texasbrexhibition at the DMA, you can see it at the Amon Carter Museum in Fort Worth. Thisbrexhibit showcases the carefully curated works originally put together by severalbrFort Worth Art Collectors for installation in the president and first lady'sbrhotel room in Fort Worth in 1963. Take in paintings by Vincent van Gogh, ThomasbrEakins, Lyonel Feininger, Franz Kline and Marsden Hartley, and sculptures bybrPablo Picasso and Henry Moore, among others.
