CARROLL SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL | Miss Dallas Outstanding Teen
Alannah Bruce has always believed that others’ differences should be celebrated, not condemned. Today she works tirelessly to make everyone feel welcome, whether she’s in the halls of Carroll ISD, volunteering with the city or competing at Miss America pageants.
Born and raised in Southlake, Alannah grew up surrounded by pageant life, with her mother Heather regularly competing while she was an infant. When Alannah became 13, she started competing herself and won multiple Miss Outstanding Teen titles in numerous cities, including Duncanville, Fort Worth, Grapevine and Dallas.
Through her social impact initiative “Celebrate You, Valuing Our Differences,” Alannah helps break down cultural barriers as a founding member of the Mayor’s Alliance For Unity and Culture, where she regularly volunteers for city events such as Celebrate Southlake and Heart Talks.
Alannah hopes to study at the University of Texas at Austin to become a child life specialist so she can continue to make a difference.
