WESTLAKE ACADEMY | Art Historical Society President, Art Club Founder
From the moment she could hold a pencil, Hannah Coan was drawn to art. From illustrating the characters from the “Magic Tree House” series to realism and animation, her love of art transcends one specific style.
That passion led her to start the art club at Westlake Academy after she realized it didn’t have one. With a desire to teach and inspire younger grades, the art club’s goal this past year was to create an animated short film after studying different animators and animation techniques.
But that’s not all Hannah does. Alongside her work with the art club, Hannah is also the Art Historical Society’s president. Though this past year put a damper on the historical society’s activities — namely its charity events and gallery night — Hannah is looking forward to what this next year will hold.
Following graduation, Hannah has plans to study computer science and continue creating art in any way she can.
