For over 10 years, Southlake Carroll’s school resource officers have been diligently protecting every campus in Carroll ISD. Now, their protection includes one school from the Keller ISD campus as well.
The Southlake Police Department recently added three new school resource officers to its program. One of those officers includes Gregory Potter, and he’ll be patrolling the first campus outside of Carroll ISD.
According to MySouthlakeNews.com, officer Potter was assigned to Florence Elementary School in Keller ISD since it is located within the city limits of Southlake. A retired sergeant from the DFW Airport Police Department with over 32 years of law enforcement experience, officer Potter will be responsible for the safety and well-being of Florence Elementary’s students and staff.
“We are proud that Southlake’s children are protected by one of the best SRO programs in the state,” SRO Police Captain Preston Logan says via MySouthlakeNews.com.
Officer Potter brings the SRO program to a total of 18 sworn staff members dedicated to both Carroll ISD and now Florence Elementary’s protection.
