Adam Szaronos never expected to have one of the most viewed TEDx presentations in the world, but that’s exactly what happened.
Last fall, Adam was one of 14 guest speakers to participate in TEDxSouthlake 2023 at the Westin Dallas Southlake. As the president and CEO of Trukera Medical, Adam’s presentation was titled “The Walls That Confined Innovation Are Crumbling,” and it covered how to take great ideas to market.
“There’s a real fear of the ‘blank canvas’ at the idea stage that can seem daunting and intimidating. This unfortunately keeps a lot of potentially great ideas and innovators confined,” Adam says. “You have to break through the inertia and demystify the daunting side of innovation by simplifying it into some key principles… to keep your ideas continually moving forward and evolving.”
Adam felt honored to be part of the TEDxSouthlake lineup that day, especially since it featured a good mix of business professionals and younger minds.
“I had several young people come up to me afterward saying they got a lot out of it and were excited to apply some of the principles to the ideas they are working on,” Adam says. “That was gratifying to hear.”
But he wasn’t expecting that presentation to grow into the second most-viewed TEDx talk in the world for the month of January, which currently has over 963,000 views on YouTube. Adam says he’s grateful to his coach, Lynda Warner, for helping him come up with the topic and to the thousands of viewers who got a lot out of his conversation.
“It tells me a lot of people are sitting on ideas and hungry for some direction on how to navigate the journey,” Adam says. “The world is full of challenging problems and needs problem solvers who are willing to take those next steps.”
