The Joy Project collected a total of 2,300 stuffed animal donations during its 19th annual drive from March 18 to April 10. On top of that, they also received $625 in monetary donations that will go toward the purchase of toiletries such as toothbrushes and toothpaste to help families who are spending time at the hospital.
Since its first drive in 2001, The Joy Project has received 52,300 total donations. And it all started when kindergarten student Haley Whatley wanted to collect bunnies for patients to have for Easter.
The group, currently lead by Southlake’s own Brooke and Carys Henry, is also leaving the donations link with Cook’s Children active. So those who are still interested in supporting the cause can still donate here.
