Over 100 mothers and their sons came together for children in need over the holidays.
Beginning in 2010, the Young Men’s Service League kicked off an annual philanthropy event called “The Ultimate Gift Project,” where each chapter found a new way to give an ultimate gift to their local community. For their 2023 project, the YMSL Southlake chapter built 100 bicycles for the 6 Stones charity during their annual Night of Hope, where they shared gifts and a Christmas meal for children and families in need at 21 elementary campuses in HEB ISD.
“We are grateful that YMSL Southlake chose 6 Stones as the Ultimate Gift recipient,” says Rachel Martinez, 6 Stones director of school-based initiatives. “When these young men and their moms serve for this project, they are doing so much more than building a bicycle. They are building hope into the life of a child, into the lives of their families and transforming an entire community.”
