The Dragons are going green for its spring musical this weekend.
Taking place May 3-4, Carroll Theatre’s upcoming spring production will feature all of the lovable fairy tale characters from Far Far Away in “Shrek The Musical.” Gautam Nalliah will portray the titular ogre, while Payton Nickel will play Princess Fiona and Anooshey Dhanani will take over for Eddie Murphy as Donkey. Ethan Palmersheim will play Lord Farquhad, and Megha Kadiyala will portray the Dragon.
“While we had a much shorter rehearsal period for such a large-scale musical than we’re used to, I think we’ve ultimately ended up with a show that the cast and crew can be proud of,” theatre director Ryan Barbe says. “They’ve worked extremely hard, and I’m looking forward to seeing that hard work pay off in a fun production for the whole family.”
Showtimes are at 7 p.m. on Thursday and Friday and 2 and 7 p.m. on Saturday. Tickets are $16-21 and can be purchased at the box office or at DragonDrama.net.
