Carroll Theatre
Carroll Theatre dressed to impress on May 9 as they walked the red carpet at the 2019 Dallas Summer Musicals High School Musical Theater Awards. Carroll ISD’s program received 12 nominations including Best Featured Performer, Best Leading Actor, Best Leading Actress, Best Technical Execution, Best Orchestra, Best Ensemble/Chorus and Best Direction and Best Musical.
But during the ceremony, it was the lighting design team (made up of Sloan Williams, Nick Bright and Ryan Mulvihill) who walked away with the glass trophy. The other Best Lighting Design nominees came from Aledo High School, Fort Worth Academy of Fine Arts, Grand Prairie Fine Arts Academy, Independence High School, J.J. Pearce High School, Kaufman High School, Liberty High School, Plano West Senior High School, Southwest Christian School, Waxahachie High School and Wylie East High School.
