The Cole Malone Memorial Fund has already raised thousands to support the young man's family in their time of need.
A celebration of the life of James Colbert “Cole” Malonebrtook place Monday, April 13, at 4:30 pm at White's Chapel United MethodistbrChurch in Southlake. Malone, who was a 16-year-old sophomore at Carroll HighbrSchool at the time of his passing, died April 7 from injuries sustained afterbrbeing struck by a vehicle.
In lieu of flowers, his family requests that donations bebrmade to the Cole Malone Memorial Fund through Frost Bank, which has raised morebrthan $37,000 towards a $46,000 goal to help cover Cole’s medical and funeralbrexpenses. Any remaining funds will be put towards scouting scholarships andbreducation. Donations in Cole’s memory may also be made to the Boy Scouts ofbrAmerica.
