The Emerald Belles have donated nearly $3,000 toward response and relief efforts with Hurricane Ida.
In late August, Hurricane Ida made landfall in Louisana before striking the east coast, leaving behind a devastating trail of ruin behind it, with at least 40 casualties and over $95 billion in damages. The Emerald Belles wanted to help with recovery efforts, so they passed donation buckets around during the Dragons’ first home game of the season against Arlington Martin. Proceeds were donated to Red Cross Hurricane Relief.
“Due to the amazing generosity of the Southlake community, the Emerald Belles collected $2,800 for people in areas most affected by the hurricane,” social chairman Megan Ihle says. “The Belles would like to thank everyone that helped us make a difference.”
