Grapevine Faith hit a home run with the grand opening of its new baseball stadium.
According to a press release, the stadium will offer a home playing field for the Lions and a state-of-the-art facility for all of its ball players. In previous years, Grapevine Faith’s baseball teams practiced off-site at Oak Grove Park, but as the team grew, families and sponsors began funding the development of a home field facility.
The new stadium features batting cages, home and visitor bullpens and a berm that provides additional seating during games. An opening day celebration will be held on Thursday, Feb. 1 at 4 p.m. that features festivities, food, bounce houses and games. The varsity team will then face off against Colleyville Covenant at 4:30 p.m.
“Not only does the new baseball stadium provide a top-notch facility for our athletes to excel on, but it will also bring people together. From hosting games and tournaments, we are confident this field will become a gathering place for families and baseball fans all over the community,” athletic director Patrick Reents says. “When players step onto the field, they know that they are playing on one of the best fields in the area, and we are excited for the first opening day at Grapevine Faith Christian School.”
