This Valentine’s Day, troops overseas will receive greeting cards all the way from Southlake. The Green Jackets, a prestigious group of Carroll Senior High students known for their service, spent some of their winter holiday making cards for deployed military and those in VA hospitals.
The group partnered with Soldier’s Angels, a nonprofit with the mantra “May No Soldier Go Unloved.” The organization has a variety of programs to serve soldiers, veterans and their families, including the Valentines for Veterans program.
Green Jackets, Madeline Bryant, Audrey Kwentus, Sydney Nobles, Jonathan Ciccone, Henry Gardner, Michael Gruenwald, Paul Keller and Alex Shockley worked together to make sure that deployed and wounded troops will feel loved on Valentine’s Day.
