Carroll High School and Carroll Middle School students will see two new faces on their campuses when school comes back into session in August.
Two new assistant principals were announced for the district by the Carroll ISD School Board of Trustees during their meeting on Monday evening. Those individuals are Renee James and James Jones, who will both go on to work with Carroll High School and Carroll Middle School respectively.
An educator with 22 years of experience, Renee James served as a teacher and assistant principal for several campuses in Maryland before accepting a job with Carroll ISD, according to a district media release. Having earned her bachelor’s degree from Loyola Marymount University and her master’s degree in Education Administration from Trinity University, James also worked as a School Performance and Title 1 Specialist for the Maryland State Department of Education. She is currently transitioning to Texas from Maryland with her family.
With 18 years under his belt as an educator, assistant coach and principal James Jones earned his Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from Texas Christian University and his Master’s Degree in Education from the University of Phoenix. He has taught economics, U.S. History, government and sociology at all levels, including elementary, middle school and high school, and served as an assistant coach for basketball, baseball, softball, cross-country, volleyball and track. Jones also served as the Keller ISD summer school assistant principal for two years before his appointment at Carroll ISD.
CISD Superintendent Dr. David Faltys announced both of the new assistant principals to the board during his report Monday. They will start with the new school year.
