Scholars & Athletes Serving Others (SASO), a service organization for high school boys and girls and their mothers who reside in Southlake or attend Carroll ISD, recently recognized and celebrated 42 of its members who earned the President's Volunteer Service Award (PVSA). The PVSA is the United States’ premier volunteer awards program that honors individuals whose service positively impacts communities and inspires those around them to take action. Collectively, these 42 students volunteered an impressive 4,891 hours of service at organizations like the GRACE, the Tarrant Area Food Bank, Miracle League of Southlake and Run4Elise. Gold medals went to 19 students, while 17 received Silver medals and 16 received Bronze medals.
Congratulations to these incredible volunteers!
