A Southlake family found themselves making national news Wednesday Night. Enjoying the visit to Texas from the favorite New York Yankees, the Ciccone family planted themselves in the centerfield bleachers hoping to snag some home runs from the likes of Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton.
However, on a deep shot from Yankees first baseman Neil Walker off of Ranger pitcher Doug Pfister, Southlake Carroll Dragon Christopher Ciccone made this spectacular leaping catch over the railings in centerfield!
"Throughout batting practice, my brother [Jonathan] and I were in a competition to catch more homers," the Southlake Carroll Dragon told Cut 4 reporters. "We decided the first ball coming our way in the game would be my ball. Right off the bat, my dad knew it was gone and told us to jump the rail. I followed it into my glove and was aware of the rail and just made the catch -- it was a family effort."
