In a brilliant display of Dragon Excellence, Southlake high school students were well represented in the 64th annual National Merit Scholarship Program (NMSC).
Twenty-one students were recognized as Semifinalists and will have an opportunity to continue in the competition for approximately 7,500 National Merit Scholarships worth more than $32 million. About 16,000 students—less than one percent of U.S. high school seniors—get the marks to become Semifinalists.
To be considered for a National Merit Scholarship, Semifinalists must advance to Finalist standing in the competition by meeting high academic standards and all other requirements explained in the information provided to each Semifinalist.
Congratulations to our local National Merit Semifinalists!
