Travelers—an anticipated 3.2 million of them—are expected to descend on DFW Airport during spring break this year. This number, up 1.4 percent over last year, just goes to show you how fast residents want to escape from winter storms throughout the United States—no matter where you call home! “There's no doubt we are all eager for a spring break getaway,” says Sean Donohue, CEO of DFW Airport.
Customers visiting DFW Airport during spring break March 6 through March 23 will experience expanded customer service available by electronic communications and extra helpers in the terminals. “Our teams of customer service representatives, Airport Ambassadors, social media team and more will be ready to help customers find their way around and answer questions,” Donohue says.
DFW Airport has a handful of travel tips to ensure a relaxing and stress-free experience this spring break before heading out to the airport:
1. Leave early and arrive at DFW at least two hours before your flight time to ensure ample time to park, check-in, clear security, and arrive at your departure gate.
2. Download the free, new-and-improved DFW Airport Mobile App (Version 2.0), which includes a host of added new conveniences, such as updated parking options, voice concierge, a restaurant / shop finder, customizable weather information, up-to-date flight tracker, and more.
3. Park closer, faster and smarter by utilizing one of the Airport's four parking options, including DFW Airport Valet, Terminal, Express and Remote. Learn more at DFWAirport.com/Parking.
